The Japanese rail company JR East train unveiled Alfa-X, which is considered the fastest in the world. On May 10 began the test trips of the train.

Despite the possibility of accelerating to 400 km / h, it is expected that the exercise will carry passengers on the train speed of 360 km / h. This is 10 km / h faster than the Chinese train Fuxing Hao, which connects Beijing and Shanghai, and has the same top speed.

In order to combat air resistance when entering the tunnel front of the train is a 22-meter aerodynamic "nose". One of the features of the locomotive was also the newest brake system, which includes special air brakes on the roof of the train and the magnetic plate, located near the rails - all this will work with conventional brakes.

The train is tested on a relatively short section of the railway, which is owned by JR East. The company clarified that during the last part of the test phase will run between the cities of Aomori and Sendai. Full train test should take three years.
