Every year, natural and cultural attractions around the world stand out for their "outstanding universal value" for humanity. The World Heritage Committee meets in Baku, in order to decide which objects deserve special status and protection. 43rd session held on Wednesday, July 10, but here are some additions made to the list.
1. Icelandic Vatnajökull National Park.
This volcanic region covers almost 14% of the total area of Iceland.
2. The Jaipur city in India.
Fortified Indian city of Jaipur in the north-west Rajasthan is known as the "pink city".
3. Burial tombs of ancient Japan.
It's 49 ancient tombs belonging to the III-VI centuries in the Japanese prefecture of Osaka.
4. Babylon in Iraq.
After decades of lobbying the ancient Mesopotamian city of Babylon is also entered in the UNESCO list.
5. Bagan, Myanmar.
Thousands of Buddhist temples scattered through the picturesque landscape, the ancient capital of the country is already attracting tourists.
6. Plain of Jars, Laos.
