It would look like the largest metropolis in the world at night without lighting? French photographer Thierry Cohen decided to check it out and created a unique photographic project Darkened Cities - city, lit only with stars. According to the photographer, he created a third reality, something that does not really exist, that is the city without electricity. See how the city would look, lit only with stars.

When, in August 2003, the eastern regions of Canada and the United States plunged into darkness due to a power outage, some residents of New York for the first time saw the starry sky in his life. Big cities at night illuminated with millions of lights: lights, traffic lights, windows, neon signs, storefronts and car headlights. Seen in such conditions the starry sky without light pollution is virtually impossible.

"Photography - is a demonstration of what is not. This is a unique way to fulfill his dream. I do not create the post-apocalyptic metropolis, but only those who have been deprived of electricity. "
