The writer, an esthete, a dandy and simply extraordinary personality - it is so memorable contemporaries writer Oscar Wilde. Oscar Wilde was born in 1854 in a family of Irish in Dublin. His parents were very wealthy and educated people, were ardent nationalists, pro-independence Ireland.
