Having lost faith, she found the meaning of life in the rescue of the weak and defenseless children. Egorov lieutenant is facing a difficult choice - following an order of command, he would be forced to endanger the lives of young Poles. The Gunners are struggling to prevent the death of children ...

Did you know that ...

The script is written on the novel by writer-soldier Alexander Nikolaev "We're not counting the children." The basis of the product formed events that took place with the writer during the Great Patriotic War, and the main character, a young lieutenant of artillery - a prototype of Nikolaev.

On the film he worked as a military adviser, Lieutenant Colonel Konstantin Gorbatikov. Under his leadership, the entire cast underwent a short course of an artilleryman, studied full-time positions with their arms, learned to load and move the guns.

The creators have relied on as accurate as possible: deaf orphans play really deaf children, the Germans - the Germans and the Polish monastery filmed in Poland by Wrocław, in an ancient castle.

The film was made on the 70th anniversary of the victory with the support of the Ministry of Culture.

The shooting lasted 38 days and took place in Russia and Poland.

For two weeks in the Kaluga region on the River Nara was built a bridge in natural size, can withstand loads of up to 3, 5 tons. Also a line of fortifications (trenches, bunkers) was built for the filming.

In the role of "monastery" was made by the ancient castle Grodzhets in Poland.

In filming the fighting took part up to 80 re-enactors in the day.
