• Travel to Mount Trebevic in Sarajevo

Went up before 6:00 local, to have time to climb the mountain. The aim was not the top, and the other object, situated on one of the slopes. More on that later.

The mountain was covered with a cap of clouds, but it did not stop us, we boldly went into the mist.

But first, we walked through the morning the city. That's because this light I'm ready to get up and over the weekend.

A long time ago I came across an article-selection with the name something like "top 10 abandoned places on the planet." I'm sure many are familiar with this article. After reading it I thought how it would be nice to visit somewhere of these amazing places.

Preparing for the trip, just a few days before departure, I came across a reference to one of these sites! My happiness knew no bounds. I noticed a new spot on the map and began to wait. In Sarajevo, it seemed a lot more interesting, I always have time and opportunity to visit the object becomes illusory. But in spite of all we've got! We got up early and get to the venue.

What is it? Yes, I have certainly interesting! It abandoned the bobsleigh track built for the Olympic Games in Sarajevo in 1984. Almost half a kilometer stretches concrete snake down the mountainside.

Here we are waiting for the second major success in the journey. For the photographer it is important to not only be able to use the camera and know how to make a good shot, but also be able to be in the right place at the right time. And with this we are very lucky. The sun breaks through the clouds of debris.

The rays cut through the fog and were so clear that it was possible to distinguish their faces. Solar presentation lasted about 15 minutes. Absolutely nothing is like the fireworks on the day of the city, a few minutes shot out and everything, and look only at the remnants of smoke in the sky. It's all the same thing - a surprisingly beautiful play of light for a few moments and crawls lower and lower on the slope of the cloud.

From here we go directly to the light-flooded forward in the future.

The route encircles the mountain to study it is only one way - to walk the track. We are not thinking long stood on a concrete base and went forward.

In the bends are made almost vertical walls, which now serve as an excellent platform for graffiti. There are no free square meter.

In fact, this place is not so abandoned. The track began to recover. This can be seen on the floor and flooded the newly felled trees in the vicinity.

Restore had, of course, not all. If you climb up, you can still find untouched by reconstruction of the site. Nearby across the remnants of the destroyed buildings of time, but to get to them problematic, just climb through the bushes.

In some places there are huge blocks which can be pushed to the side and change the direction of the track - something like a shooter, but concrete and the size of a bus. At the end of one of these panels, we came across this device. For what it is used is not clear.

On the sides of narosli different types of moss and have thrown some controversy.

Okay, okay, not any dispute. It's just water vapor. In some parts of the concrete structure is preserved layer of something similar to frozen foam core. It is strongly to be fed with moisture from fog and dew. Now, under the scorching sun, the water began to evaporate.

Follow the road entirely possible for an hour and a half. For bobsleigh we turtles.

During this time, the clouds crawled quite low and covered the city.

When we got back to the starting position to the arch with the inscription "GRO BOSNA SARAJEVO", we were planning to return to the city, when he noticed a new turn in the road on which we have come. Towards a new path we could see some buildings. At one dilapidated I climbed. From there, a good view of the surroundings. And in the neighboring house.

If the previous building looks funny, the second building is very sad. It all kind shows how fierce battles unfolded here.
