In the 30th years of the Nazi military town Krampnitts (it. Krampnitz) was built to house the Cavalry School. After the war, the military complex with barracks, situated between Potsdam and Berlin, won the Red Army. Until the early nineties, it ranked 10th Panzer Group of Soviet Forces in Germany (GSVG).
