• tour of one of Europe's most beautiful waterfalls
The fact that the Balkans are one of the most beautiful places in Europe, I realized a long time. And the beauty of it is so rich that each time returning here, you can discover something new, exciting, just beautiful. Even during the yachting regattas, and when the time something to "coast" virtually none. I rarely say the phrase "You need to be sure to visit" and "recommend". But today I say this phrase.
If you are going to Croatia, be sure to get to the town of Skradin, where the bicycle or take a boat trip to the Krka National Park, which has some of the most beautiful waterfalls in Europe ...

Of all nature reserves and parks of Croatia Krka National Park is considered one of the most beautiful. The territory of the park is located between the towns of Sibenik and Knin in Central Dalmatia. Park Krka is situated along the river of the same name, whose length is 72 km. Mouth of the river Krka length 23, 5 km recognizes the exceptional natural phenomenon. There is fresh water mixes with the sea, and because there dwells as river and sea fish and shellfish - mussels and oysters.

The greatest glory of the park Krka acquired through its waterfalls. A total of seven and a total length of 400 meters. In addition, you can select 17 main stages, the overall difference in height between the first and the last - 47, 7 meters. The total drop in all stages up to 242 meters.

The main cascade waterfall - Roški Slap (Roški Slap), consisting of a large number of waterfalls smaller width of 450 m and 650 m long. This is the bottom of the waterfall cascade all, and it is from here that the foot climb to the top point of the cascade

The noise of water here is so strong, that in some places near the waterfall even impossible to talk

It is amazing how shrubs and trees is possible to resist the powerful continuous flow of water

Some of them even manage to grow and develop in "the thick"

But the most beautiful and famous from all the waterfalls of Krka is Skradinski Buk.
Skradin Buka flow rate is 43 cubic meters per second, in the winter - about 18 cubic meters, and in summer reaches 55 cubic meters per second. Krka Waterfalls - this is the biggest cascade system in Europe.

Waterfall Skradinski Buk is formed by merging together the waters of the rivers Krka and Chikola.

Among the waterfalls of Krka, on the left bank of the river you can see the unusual sight for modern man spectacle - the real operating mill, where grain is crushed into flour millstones, set in motion by water, like a century ago.

Mills here are a few, they are arranged in different ways - sometimes one grindstone, and somewhere a small mill shop.

At various times of the year the water level changes in the waterfalls, and occasionally some mills are partially flooded.
In this small mills can even notice a small waterfall from the window to the street)

Today on the left bank of the stage, where many centuries stand mill, located ethno-village, where the surviving houses presented life lived here hundreds of years ago, farmers

there are no streets, only narrow shady passageways leading into the mill, in the house, or the gift shop Ethno

Forge in ethno-village.

The bridges over one of the hundreds of ducts

above ethnovillage, there, where the rivers Krka and Chikola, imposed by wooden walkways, on which you can stroll and enjoy the incredible beauty of nature and listening to the sound of waterfalls

over the waterfall water is calm and quiet ....

But a few tens of meters, and water breaks down to zip around this incredible cascade.
It was at this point, it all begins

Here is a list of all the Krka waterfalls
