• Malaysian street art

I'm in Malaysia, Penang. The island's capital Georgetown is replete with old buildings of colonial buildings, but the main attraction of the historic part of the city - graffiti is Lithuanian artist Ernest Zakharevich, which for several years then paints the walls of houses.
The first work of the artist appeared in the criminal area. On the wall was painted girl in the form of Lego figures with Chanel bag, and around the corner the robber with a knife. The city authorities were offended, explaining that most recently in the area of improved lighting and the crime rate has decreased. First they painted over the graffiti, but then decided that the artist is better to be friends than to fight and offered to arrange a few walls to the City Day. Now, as I understand, the Malaysian Banksy paints officially (in the sense of not hiding from the police), and this is understandable: after the Wall Street Journal called Ernest "new Banksy" on the island rushed streams of tourists who want to see the original street art .. .

In addition to tourism in Penang developed (as it is not strange) electronics industry. Penang is generally referred to as the second Silicon Valley and its development encouraged the creation of free economic zones of the preferential taxation. There are enterprises of international electronic corporations: AMD, Intel, Motorola, Hitachi, Bosch, Osram and so on.
