In 1933, the racing department was established in Alfa Romeo, and in 1938 the company decides to participate in a car race and creates a racing team.

But the Enzo desire to create something of their own was so great that he is leaving the Alfa Romeo and founded his own company "Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari".

The death of Enzo Alfa Romeo denies possibility of creating a model of the car under his own name for four years.

Therefore, the company "Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari" creates an 8-cylinder, Spider, calls him 815, and participates in the race "A thousand miles" in 1940.

During the Second World War, in 1943, the company "Auto Avio Costruzioni Ferrari" moved to Maranello. During the bombing of the building was destroyed and rebuilt in 1946.
