Some people say that the Vancouver Center - one of the most beautiful among modern cities in America, the other - it is one of the best cities to live in, and others - that there is a very expensive and boring, because everything is predictable as a clock.

When I flew to Vancouver, I knew practically nothing about this city. Know that there is a center with skyscrapers, I knew that there Coal Harbour ( "Coal Harbor") - where do without it. Therefore, arriving in the city and throwing things at the hotel, I left it in the direction of Coal Harbour.

Here, in fact, Coal Harbour. In 1862, English explorer Jorde Vancouver found here coal. However, it turned out to be of poor quality and it was not enough. Coal was mined here practically, but the name has stuck.

Now Coal Harbour - is several marinas (parking) for yachts and small airport for seaplanes, some of which operate regular flights to the island of Vancouver (to Victoria), and some rolled tourists and all sorts of beautiful show.

The Center in Vancouver - a plurality of glass high-rise office and residential buildings is the streets that intersect at right angles and forming blocks (here they say "two blocks to the north," "through the 3rd quarter of this street"), it is a few people and a few machines (although in peak hour traffic jams can occur), it's a lot of trees, flower beds and outdoor pots of flowers in the streets.

On the south side of the city center ogranitsen Gulf of False Creek. These are two road bridges across the bay.
