
The harvest season
Harvest time - is the time when farmers are rewarded for their hard work. All over the world are festivals and rituals dedicated to the harvest season, so the fall in the northern hemisphere is traditionally at times of festivals.
This year, many farmers harvested the low harvest as dry weather ruined crops in many parts of the world. Half of the US and most of Europe suffered from prolonged drought. The rainy season in India has brought only 20% of the average annual precipitation. By 2013 it is expected to increase in food prices, as a result of the rise in price of feed for cattle and meat prices also increase.
